What are self-ligating braces?
Self-ligating braces use a revolutionary bracket design that doesn’t require elastics to hold your archwires in place. What does this mean for you? It means your teeth can move more easily, and your brackets will self-adjust as the archwire slides through them.
Because self-ligating braces adjust themselves, we won’t need to see you for as many adjustment appointments during treatment. You’ll also experience increased comfort from the lack of friction! A complete win-win.
Benefits of
self-ligating braces
Our patients who use self-ligating braces enjoy:
- More efficiency: Self-ligating braces can straighten your smile up to 7 months faster than traditional metal braces.
- Fewer appointments: Because self-ligating braces can adjust on their own, you won’t need to commute to our clinic as much during treatment
- Extra comfort: The minimal friction caused by self-ligating braces makes for a more comfortable treatment experience.
- Increased discretion: Self-ligating brackets are smaller than traditional brackets, and even come in an aesthetic clear option!
The straightest line to a straight smile
At Todorthodontics, we don’t want to waste your time. That’s why we offer Accelerated Orthodontics, like Vpro5, to our patients with self-ligating braces. This hands-free device can speed your treatment up even further with just five minutes of use per day.
We also offer the Dental Monitoring app, which lets you communicate with our team and send us pictures of your progress - so you don’t have to come in to our office!
