Early treatment
If you want to protect the health of your child’s smile, and save time and money on their orthodontic treatment, it’s important to get a head start. Bringing your child in for a complimentary consultation with Dr. Todor can help ensure their smile stays in top form.

When should my child
see an orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child visit an orthodontist around the age of seven. At this age, most children have their first adult molars, so their back bite is established. This allows Dr. Todor to diagnose potential orthodontic issues before they worsen.
By catching misalignments early on, we can correct them with a small amount of effort. Even if your child doesn’t need treatment yet, we can monitor their smile with regular check-ups and intervene at the opportune time.

Signs my child could benefit from orthodontic treatment
Not all signs of orthodontic issues are obvious - which is why it’s important to bring your child in to see a specialist! But there are a few indications you can look out for, such as:
- Early (or late) loss of baby teeth
- Difficulty chewing
- Protruding teeth
- Misaligned teeth
- Crowded/crooked teeth
- Thumb sucking after the age of five
- Speech problems

Invisalign® treatment
for children
Invisalign® Child, also known as Invisalign® First, is an Invisalign® treatment specifically designed for kids. The custom aligners help guide the growth of your child’s smile, make room for their incoming teeth, and can prepare them for later treatment with braces or aligners.
Because Invisalign® Child aligners are removable, your child won’t have to adjust their diet or delta hygiene routines during treatment - making this a gentle introduction to orthodontics.
