What is Invisalign® Child?

Invisalign® Child, also known as Invisalign® First, is our Invisalign® treatment specifically designed for children ages 6-10. Invisalign® Child uses clear plastic aligners to shape your child’s smile without the need for any metal brackets or wires.

Invisalign® Child aligners are smooth, comfortable, and extremely discreet. They are custom made for your child’s exact smile, and can be removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing, making them a gentle introduction to orthodontic treatment.

Invisalign® Child aligners are designed to guide the growth of your child’s smile and make room for their current and incoming teeth. This can prepare their smile for treatment in their teenage years, or remove the need for teenage treatment altogether!

Not all children need early interceptive treatment, but if your child could benefit from it, then Invisalign® Child is a fabulous choice for treatment. Invisalign® Child can help to:

How can my child get started with Invisalign® treatment?

During your child’s complimentary consultation, we’ll take digital scans of their smile - which we use to design their custom treatment plan and aligners. To progress through treatment, Dr. Todor will advise your child when to switch to a new set of aligner trays.

Each set of aligners is shaped a little differently to place gentle but targeted pressure on your child’s teeth and jaws. This pressure will guide their smile into proper alignment over the course of treatment.
